SOCLE®

Operational transformation of engineering offices and agencies on the Vectorworks ecosystem. Registered trademark (INPI France).

The method

Moving from an installed tool to a production system.

SOCLE® is a method for the operational transformation of event engineering offices and creative agencies around the Vectorworks environment, designed by ESE from twelve years of hands-on practice across live, scenography and institutional productions.

SOCLE® is not software. It is a doctrinal, methodological and operational framework: file organisation, template structure, naming conventions, ConnectCAD, Braceworks and MVR workflows, handover and onboarding processes.

Published by ESE, SOCLE® is aimed at organisations that use Vectorworks but have not yet structured their practice into a system — engineering offices, event agencies, set designers, cultural venues and venue operators.

The expertise behind SOCLE®

Certified trainer & beta-tester, Team France Vectorworks

SOCLE® is grounded in a Vectorworks expertise built at the highest level — that of a certified trainer and member of Team France Vectorworks, the select group of experts associated with Nemetschek's product teams to test development versions and contribute to the software's evolution.

Before ESE, Matthieu Savatier carried out this dual role at Oliverdy, a leading engineering office and agency in the sector, at the intersection of field practice and professional training.

This proximity to the Vectorworks teams — across Braceworks, ConnectCAD, Vision and MVR modules — is what enables SOCLE® to be a reliable, up-to-date and transferable method, not a set of frozen best practices.

Scope

What SOCLE® structures.

  • File organisation and project folder structure — shared, transferable conventions.
  • Master Vectorworks templates calibrated by production type (live, set design, exhibition, institutional).
  • ConnectCAD workflows — electrical, audio, video, network schematics.
  • Structural and rigging calculations with Braceworks and MVR.
  • Onboarding processes — integrating new team members into a structured environment.
  • Handover and documentation — making expertise independent of individuals.
For whom

SOCLE® is for organisations that produce.

Event engineering offices

Structure technical production, align practices across project managers and ensure reliable deliverables.

Event agencies

Move from individual Vectorworks use to a collective, coherent and transferable production tool.

Set designers & creative studios

Document methods, structure templates and improve collaboration with partner engineering offices.

Cultural venues & operators

Build a venue-specific Vectorworks environment, usable by permanent technical teams and external contributors.
